Four Seasons, Four Worlds
2026-09-05Milestone 9 built the daytime world. But one theme isn't enough — the world should change as you progress.
Milestone 11 completed the theme system.
Three New Worlds
Daytime is the starting point. Tropical unlocks at Lv.25, Night at Lv.60, Winter at Lv.90.
Each theme consists of two layers: a sky background and an underwater background. Both change at once — not just the color, but the composition too.
Tropical: bright blue sky, coral reefs, tropical underwater. Night: a starry sky, dark depths. Winter: ice blocks and what looks like a frozen ocean.
Theme System Architecture
The system runs on TemaData ScriptableObjects. Each theme has fields for sky image, underwater image, UI accent color, text color, cloud color, and more.
TemaManager runs as a singleton — when the theme changes, all these fields update automatically. One key, the entire scene changes.
Theme Card Previews
Preview cards were added to the theme selection screen. Each card shows a 340×150 pixel strip of that theme's sky — as if you're taking a small peek into that world before unlocking it.
This feature turned out to be technically more complex than we expected. RectMask2D, GridLayoutGroup, per-theme offset values. But the result matched what we had in mind.
Localization Completed
Along with the theme panel, all buttons and labels in the shop screen were also fully localized in this milestone. Whatever language is selected, everything now appears in that language.
The Reward of Progress
The theme system isn't a cosmetic layer — it's a progression reward. One more reason to play all the way to Lv.90.
And visually, each world genuinely feels different — the same game mechanics, four distinct atmospheres.
